Arboron EPG Stage Flooring Material
Similar to Arborite, layers of paper come together under high pressure in combination with phenolic thermosetting resins to form EPG. However, this laminate does not contain melamine. The material is useful for cold punching and shearing tasks.
Paper-based phenolic laminates such as EPG are some of the most cost-effective options as opposed to laminated comprised primarily of glass epoxys, cotton, nylon, or other bases. Tough and long-lasting materials boost the consumer’s return on investment and add to our reputation as a premier supplier in the region.
With a tensile strength of MD-30,000 psi/CD-19,000 psi, EPG has the durability required for applications such as switchgear mounting, electrical enclosures, and die stock. EPG also meets the requirements for the National Electrical Manufacturers Association’s, (NEMA) thickness and flatness standards and wrap or twist tolerances.
Both Arboron and EPG contain no hazardous ingredients and are not considered to be flammable. They also have similar insulating properties. They provide a safe and durable contribution to applications including manufacture of non-conductive products and phase barriers.
EPG® is a paper-based, solid phenolic laminate impregnated with phenolic thermosetting resins, consolidated under high pressure and temperature into dense, uniform sheets with good electrical and mechanical properties. EPG is an XPC grade industrial laminate that is ideal for cold punching and shearing Arboron® and EPG.® comply with NEMA LI 1 thickness and flatness standards and are listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc.® as Industrial Laminates under File E194097. Arboron® and EPG® are manufactured by Arborite – Div of/de ITW Canada, an ISO 9001-2000 certified company.
